PS-W vs MS-W T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips, WBBL 2022
Perth Scorchers Women will take on Melbourne Stars Women at the WACA, Perth. Match 11 of the 2022 WBBL will get underway at 20:10 local time on Thursday, October 20th.
Perth Scorchers Women
With two wins from two games so far in the 2022 WBBL, Perth Scorchers Women are looking very strong again and very few would bet against them winning the tournament for a second successive year. They have beaten Sydney Thunder Women and Hobart Hurricanes Women.
Three of Perth Scorchers Women’s batters hit scores of 30+ in the win over Hobart Hurricanes Women. Beth Mooney top scored with 38 not out with Chloe Piparo (31) and Maddy Green (32 not out) making valuable contributions. Captain Sophie Devine was dismissed for four at the start of the second over.
Perth Scorchers Women have taken 17 wickets across their first two games of the competition. Alana King has picked up five of those wickets with Taneale Peschel taking 3-13 on Monday evening. Piepa Cleary and Lilly Mills were the only two bowlers not to dismiss a batter against Hobart Hurricanes Women.
Perth Scorchers Women dominated the tournament last year and have already started another winning streak.
Melbourne Stars Women
It has been a poor start to the 2022 WBBL for Melbourne Stars Women who have been beaten by Brisbane Heat Women and Sydney Sixers Women in Week 1 of the tournament. Brisbane Heat Women won by nine runs with Sydney Sixers Women winning by 27 runs.
England opener Lauren Winfield-Hill has scored 94 runs across the opening two games and shared in two half-century partnerships for the first wicket with 21 year old Bess Heath. England’s Alice Capsey has scored only 16 runs so far in the tournament but has been in good form across 2022.
In the two games in the competition so far, Melbourne Stars Women have picked up nine wickets. Alice Capsey is the only bowler in the team to have taken a wicket in both games although it was Ireland’s Kim Garth and Australia’s Annabel Sutherland who both dismissed two batters in the last match.
Melbourne Stars Women have won only one of their last four games in the WBBL
